What is the Meals Ministry?
An outreach ministry of volunteers practicing hospitality by providing meals to individuals during a whole range of life experiences and emotions such as: loss of a loved one, birth of a child, being homebound, a sickness, injury or surgery, or a time of crisis.
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in....The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers of mine, you did for me.'" Matthew 25:35,40
How does it work?
Contact the coordinator to be added to the volunteer list to provide a meal. The names will be rotated as the coordinator works through the list.
There are many ways for the needs to be made known:
When a need is made known, the coordinator will contact the ones who signed up to provide a meal. The coordinator will set up meals at least every other day depending on the need. This will probably be 1-2 weeks worth of meals; however, this will vary for each situation. The volunteer meal makers will deliver the meal, or if unable to do so, the Pastor or other volunteers would deliver the meal.

There are many ways for the needs to be made known:
- Contact the meals coordinator directly. Their name and phone number will be listed on the website or through the church office.
- The church secretary may hear of an individual who would benefit from this ministry and then they will contact the coordinator.
- The Pastor may know of a need and contact the coordinator.

- The coordinator will check for food allergies with the family in need.
- Please let the coordinator know what you are preparing so we don't bring the same meal three times a week.
- The meal may be home-made, store bought, frozen or just about anything. The meal does not have to be fancy or gourmet. Be aware of food allergies and food preferences.
- Please deliver your meals in containers that do not have to be returned.
- Please be on time when delivering a meal.
- If the family would like a visit, try to set aside a few moments to be the hands and feet of Jesus to them.
- Thank you for your willingness to serve.
